Slope Maintenance

At Loxston we have been specialising in slope maintenance machines for many years. By using knowledge from experienced manufactures in the alpine countries of Europe, We are able to supply products and spares for Aebi, Reform, Muthing and Bucher machines.

These machines are certified to be used on slopes upto 35 degrees and in the correct conditions with suitable tyres and experienced operators well in excess of this figure. Alpine tractors are essentially aricultural tractors with 3-point linkage front and back with auxiliary hydraulics and PTO front and back. But have the ability to climb across steep ground with very low impact to the surface.

Topping, and harrowing grassland, even harvesting grass for fodder, common tasks in the Alps. In the UK most of the machines are used in a municipal capacity for amenity grass and roadside maintenance. There are large number of these machines used on private estates houses for woodland management and scrub control, on shoots and in S.S.S.I. areas, where control and landscape management are necessary, but with low surface damage. We are able to offer advice, and demonstrations if you have slope issues. Aside from our embankment tractor solutions we can offer pedestrian and remote machines.
